I can teach you how to play songs in 4 lessons over 2 weeks!

My style of teaching is a little different than what you would normally get if you went to a music store. When you go to a music store their job is to get you to come back next week and pay another $40 OR MORE .

My Teaching Approach is Different

I teach you about the basics of a guitar and its parts, but we quickly get into learning how to play songs.

I start my guitar class by teaching how to strum and then add some easy simple chords. But don’t be deceived, a couple of simple chords will let you play some great music. My firm belief is if you teach people how to read tablature and add chords and strumming patterns on to a good foundation of how to learn, you’ll continue to practice because you’re playing songs that you enjoy.

You’ll Be Playing Songs In Just a Few Hours!

My classes are two weeks long and meet for two nights a week, for around 2 hours a night. Within 8 hours I’m going to guarantee that you are able to play a song on the guitar, in fact many of my students play a song on the first night!

I give step by step instructions on how to learn new chords and strumming patterns.

You will also receive my personal documentation that goes hand in hand with each lesson.

How do the classes look like?

Typically my classes include different genders and ages and we learned in a group setting. For example, in one class I had a 16 year old boy, a 14 year old boy, a 50-year-old woman, a 38-year-old dad and his 10 year old daughter. It was a unique experience for the dad and daughter because they shared the experience of learning something brand-new together.

After Beginning Steps ...

Once we get up to about 4 chords, You will be able to play songs like Twist and Shout, Johnny B Goode, Sloopy, Kansas City, Blue Suede Shoes, Sloop John B, Surfin USA, Another Saturday Night, The Gambler, You Are My Sunshine, Working On The Railroad, Locomotion, Wonderful World, Brown Eyed Girl, Country Roads and about 1000 more.

During class I show you how to find the tablature for songs you like on the internet for free.

I also teach a Learn Guitar II class that goes in depth (but not hard to learn) on music theory.

My 45-year professional career has flourished in the Capital District, with memorable performances at venues like the Grinch by the Capital Plaza and the Electric Grinch in Schenectady. In addition to musical performances, I’ve entertained at numerous events through my Party Rental Business, bringing joy to graduations, birthdays, and reunions.

I offer a rich entertainment experience with live performances, sing-a-longs, and a DJ set from a vast library of over 90,000 songs from the ’50s to 2000. My karaoke collection features 70,000 songs, covering the same era. While Hip Hop isn’t my specialty, I’m eager to make your event unforgettable with the best of music up until the year 2000.
